Yesterday, Year 6 attended Callaghan College Waratah Campus and spent the day in the life of high schoolers. They participated in a variety of activities, including Science, English, Mathematics, PDHPE, Woodwork, Cross Fit, and Sport. We had a sausage sizzle lunch and got to meet other Year 6 students from our neighbouring schools. The students were a beautifully behaved group and a pleasure to take to Callaghan College. Year 7 – 2018 – Information
Thank you to the Year 6 families who have already returned their high school forms for next year. Students & families have been asking about the High Achievers class at Callaghan College Waratah Technology Campus. We received the application form this afternoon and I have attached it below. Paper copies will be sent home with students this week.

Year 6 High School Taster Lessons
Well done to all the Year 6 students who accompanied me to Callaghan Campus Waratah on Friday to participate in taster lessons in preparation for the transition to high school. We had a great day participating in a variety of lessons including English, dance, science and woodwork. Well done to everyone for their great behaviour and enthusiasm.
A Tasty Transition
Today Year 6 and I had a terrific time attending Taster lessons at Callaghan College Waratah Technology Campus. We participated in several sessions including art, metal work, science and hospitality. Students also enjoyed a free sausage sizzle lunch! Well done to our students, who participated enthusiastically (lots of positive feedback from the high school teachers) and displayed exemplary behaviour throughout the day. Students/families interested in obtaining a placement in the 2016 High Achievers class need to return their applications to me by the end of next week.
Year 6 Taster Lessons
Last Friday our Year 6 students attended an excursion to Waratah Technology Campus to participate in taster lessons in preparation for high school next year.
Students were treated to a variety of fun and hands-on lessons including cooking, woodwork, science and art. They had a great day and were very impressed by the selection of activities and resources.

TreeTops Adventure
Yesterday our Year 6 students who are enrolling at Callaghan College Waratah Technology Campus next year were offered an amazing opportunity to attend a transition program at TreeTops Adventure Park. As you can see in the photos below, our students had a terrific day conquering the challenging obstacle course through the trees and getting to know students from other schools.

Year 6 Transition
Our Year 6 students who are enrolling at Callaghan College Waratah in 2014 have been offered a wonderful opportunity to take part in an excursion to Tree Tops Adventure park on Thursday 12th September as part of their transition program. Notes were sent home last Friday and need to be returned toΒ school by the end of this week.
