Speak Off!

Congratulations to Olivia and Ember, who were the winners of our Stage 3 Speak Off yesterday. It was a very tough competition with so many wonderful speakers. Well done also to Vincent and Sia, who represented our class and did a terrific job. Olivia and Ember will now represent our school at a variety of public speaking competitions later this year with Mrs Derricott.

Speak Off

public-speaking-195x300Well done to all of our students who presented a speech last week on a person or event that changed the world. It was great to see a wide variety of topics, from chocolate to Charles Darwin, vaccination to touch screens and dinosaur destruction! The content, multimedia presentations and speaking skills were fantastic! Public speaking is tricky – so well done to everyone for conquering their nerves and having a go!

Our Stage 2 and 3 Speak Off takes place tomorrow morning beginning at 9.20am in the upper hall. Congratulations to Vincent, Sia, Sarah and Dan who were voted as the best speakers to represent our class in tomorrow’s competition. Family and friends are invited to come and watch. Looking forward to a great morning of speeches!

Stage 3 Speak Off!

Well done to all the students who presented their speeches last week about a famous Australian. The topic selection, quality information and speaking skills were fantastic.

Today we held the Stage 3 Speak Off, with Sarah, Dan, Max and Rory representing the OC. Once again, they did a fabulous job, impressing the audience and teachers.

At our Principal’s Personal Best assembly this afternoon, Ms Brown announced the winners. Congratulations to Dan who took 1st and Sarah who came 2nd. They will represent our school in the Multicultural Public Speaking competition later this term. Well done!
