Today the OC enjoyed a visit to Life Education to learn about respect, relationships and online safety. A definite highlight was meeting Harold, the cheeky giraffe, who managed to bite a few fingers and rock a Tighes Hill hat!
We visited Healthy Harold at the Life Education Centre at Edgeworth this week. Thank you to our wonderful presenter, Dale, for delivering the Think Twice program which was all about understanding the impacts of drugs and alcohol on the body.
Today we received a special visitor to our morning assembly – Harold the giraffe from Life Education! Harold joined us to launch the Water 4 Life Challenge which involves students drinking nothing but water (with the exception of milk for cereal) for 2 weeks. Students took home their Water 4 Life Challenge starter packs which includes lots of information about the challenge, sponsorship and prizes. If students raise $10 for completing the challenge, then their Life Education excursion fee later this term will be covered! Some of the photos of Harold’s visit are below, including information about the challenge. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Today we had our excursion to the Life Education Centre at Edgeworth. We participated in a great program called It’s Your Call which was about decision making, cyber safety and drug and alcohol awareness. Students also took home an information sheet which outlines the key messages of today’s visit. A huge thank you to our wonderful presenter, Leisa. It was great to see everyone was still very excited to meet Healthy Harold. Calvin was lucky enough to take Harold on in a Dance Off!
