This term students have worked hard on a major maths project for the Statistical Society of Australiaโs National Schools Poster Competition. This project involved students working in teams to create an informative poster presentation based on the collection and interpretation of data towards addressing a practical research question. Students began by brainstorming a topic of interest, then formulated a hypothesis to address. Some groups created surveys while others collected data or conducted tests. When the data collection was complete, students used Excel to analyse their data and report their findings. Well done everyone, it has been a tremendous amount of work and Iโm very proud of your efforts! A special thank you to Dr Elena Prieto-Rodriguez from the University of Newcastle for being our mentor for this project.
These look amazing! Great work, 5/6A!
Thanks Mrs Welsh!
