NAIDOC Week

This week we are celebrating NAIDOC week. Thank you to Miss Chapman for organising a range of wonderful activities for each day of the week. Students did a great job designing and decorating a circular scale for our rainbow serpent which is going to brighten up the stage in front of the canteen next term.

Hall of Fame morning tea

Congratulations to all of our students who achieved Hall of Fame for Responsibility this term. Today they enjoyed a delicious morning tea with Mrs Schonberger.

Campus Day Exploration!

Well done to all of our Children’s University students who attended the Campus Open Day on Tuesday. We had a great time exploring the uni and taking part in lots of great activities including sport, architecture, psychology and environmental science. A huge thank you to all the wonderful parents who came along and got involved.

Claymation

This afternoon we had a screening of the Stage 3 Claymation films that our students have been working on in Art Cave with Jane and Alex. Students worked in groups to create a short animation of 15 seconds in length, using different backdrops, clay, playdoh, and other props. Students used the stop-motion animation technique of taking 5 frames per second, then playing the images in order to create the sense of movement on the screen. Some groups even went beyond that and added sound effects and music to their short animations. Below is a compilation of all our claymation films.
