Students & families have been asking about the High Achievers class at Callaghan College Waratah Technology Campus. We received the application form this afternoon and I have attached it below. Paper copies will be sent home with students this week.

The OC have really been enjoying taking part in Reading Buddies over the past few weeks with their new friends from 3AD. It’s lovely to see lots of reading, discussion and happy faces. Well done for being such great role models!
Today we were very fortunate to receive a visit from Karen Eastwood who delivered a workshop for us in preparation for the Hidden Port project. Students have received information about this competition and I have also attached it below.
Newcastle has an amazing history – we need your help to explore it! Curious Legends and Newcastle Region Library are collaborating to discover the hidden history of Newcastle – what’s our past, and where are we now? We’d love you to be involved!
The best photos and stories from the Hidden Port Competition will win a prize. Then in May, professional artists from Curious Legends will be working with the local community to create a large scale street theatre performance! – Hidden Port Project website.

Well done to Celeste and Blade who were elected to represent our class in the SRC this year. We know they’ll do an amazing job!
Today we had our first session of Art Cave (thanks for all the toilet roll donations) with our wonderfully artistic volunteers Jane and Alex. We began working on creating ceramic totems that will eventually be constructed to make a class display within the school grounds. Well done, everyone!
