Walk a Mile – Koori Style

Well done to our Year 6 boys who attended the Walk A Mile Koori Style event on Friday in order to raise awareness about violence against women. After their walk, the boys and men read out a pledge, then carried dresses representing victims of violence to a display at King Edward Park. We are so proud of the respect that our boys showed today and for their participation in this important event. Afterwards, they enjoyed a sausage sizzle lunch, entertainment, and activities. Thank you to Miss Chapman and Mrs Bowman for attending this event with our students.Β

Best Buddies

Our Year 5 students have been wonderful friends and mentors to their Kindergarten Buddies this year, looking out for them in the playground and taking part in different activities with them in the classroom, such as Reading and Writing Buddies. To finish off their year together we held a Christmas Buddies session where Year 5 and Kindergarten made 3D Christmas baubles together. Well done Year 5!

Student Leader Speeches

Well done to our elected student leaders who did a superb job presenting their Captain’s speeches on Thursday. If you weren’t able to attend, view the link below to watch. Our 2017 Captains will be announced on Monday at our Hall of Fame assembly.
