We received a special delivery this morning – our Year 6 2017 Graduation shirts! They look fantastic and students are able to wear them everyday. Well done to Layla, whose design was voted for the back of the shirt.
The OC have their excursion to the Newcastle Writer’s Festival this Wednesday. We will be attending author talks by Michael Wagner and George Ivanoff. If students wish to purchase a signed copy of any of these author’s books, an order form is attached below. Students will also have the opportunity on the day to purchase other books if they want to bring money along.
Please ensure students are all school by 9am on Wednesday.
Just a reminder that our first OC excursion for 2017 takes place next Thursday 2nd February! We will be heading to the Outdoor Education Centre at Morriset to take part in peer support and team building activities. A copy of the permission note is attached below.
Our Year 5 students have been wonderful friends and mentors to their Kindergarten Buddies this year, looking out for them in the playground and taking part in different activities with them in the classroom, such as Reading and Writing Buddies. To finish off their year together we held a Christmas Buddies session where Year 5 and Kindergarten made 3D Christmas baubles together. Well done Year 5!
There’s not long to go now, the CEP Digital Media Festival is on next week. Make sure you’ve bought your tickets, which are on sale at the silver seats of a morning before school. Have a look at the wonderful film Freckle Goes To School by Mala, Nyah, Mala and Lucy, our 2nd place winners and Classroom by Sam, Noah and Jarvis, which came 3rd. We can’t wait for the premiere of MC2 next week.
