Wonderful Writers

Well done to our wonderful writers who received a letter from the Write4Fun competition today about making it into the second round of judging. It was great to have so many students receive an Achievement Award and a Certificate of Excellence for our school. Fingers crossed for when the winners are announced later this month.

Chess Champions!

Congratulations to all our super chess players who did an amazing job representing our school at the Interschool Chess Challenge today at HSPA. We won the primary division, earning us a place in the semi-finals next term and also had the top 6 highest scoring players in the tournament! Well done Jamie (1st), Noah (2nd), Hunter (3rd), Connor (4th), Akira (5th) and Ty (6th). A great result today and also excellent sportsmanship, camaraderie and enthusiasm. Congratulations, everyone!

Maths Champs!

Well done to our super maths stars, Oscar and Noah, who attended the Newcastle Permanent Building Society’s Maths Camp at Myuna Bay on the weekend. The boys were invited to attend due to their outstanding performance of achieving a High Distinction and placing in the top 100 of the Year 5 category of the Newcastle Permanent Maths competition at the end of last year. They had a great time getting involved in lots of challenging maths activities, playing mini-golf, swimming, rope challenges and soccer. Great work, boys!

Super Swimmers!

Congratulations to all of our wonderful students who did a marvellous job representing our school at Zone Swimming last week. Excellent results and we look forward to regionals.
