This term students have worked hard on a major maths project for the Statistical Society of Australia’s National Schools Poster Competition. This project involved students working in teams to create an informative poster presentation based on the collection and interpretation of data towards addressing a practical research question. Students began by brainstorming a topic of interest, then formulated a hypothesis to address. Some groups created surveys while others collected data or conducted tests. When the data collection was complete, students used Excel to analyse their data and report their findings. Well done everyone, it has been a tremendous amount of work and I’m very proud of your efforts! A special thank you to Dr Elena Prieto-Rodriguez from the University of Newcastle for being our mentor throughout the project.Β
These look indubitably delicious! I especially like the Sweet Temptations and the Gaming Technology ones!
