Mini-Olympics rescheduled

Unfortunately, due to the poor weather and conditions of the grounds, our Mini-Olympics event did not go ahead today. We have re-scheduled this event for this coming Monday 29th August.

This will mean that our K-2 and 3-6 assemblies will not be on.

Students are still encouraged to come dressed out of uniform in sporting attire of their country’s colours.

Olympic Countries

As part of our Olympic celebrations, students chose a participating country to research and created an informative poster to share. Have a look at their great work below (click on image to enlarge).

Congratulations to the amazing Ember, who was announced as the winner of the Zone Public Speaking event! Ember wowed the audience with her entertaining speech about the art of sassing. Ember will present her speech for us at our assembly next week, so please come along. We wish Ember all the best for when she represents our school at Regionals later this term.

Spelling Superstars!

Well done to everyone who competed in our Premier’s Spelling Bee event today. We had over 40 Stage 3 students take part – our highest number so far, with so many spelling superstars our event was probably the longest ever! Congratulations to Zander, who was the winner of today’s event and to Chloe who came 2nd! Both students will go on to represent our school at the Regional Finals in the coming weeks.

Mini EV Festival

Well done to everyone who came along to Cameron Park Raceway yesterday to participate in the Mini EV Festival! What a great day – it was wonderful to see the sun shining and lots of families, friends and puppies come out to support us! I was so proud of the fantastic effort all our students made during this project, working on their carts, making team shirts and exhibiting enthusiastic team spirit. A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteer, Bob, who helped us each week with this project. Enjoy the photos below.
