Debating Fun!

Well done to our Year 5 debating team who participated in the Arts Unit Premiers Debating Workshop at Marks Point PS last Thursday. The day was full of workshops and opportunities to practice debating techniques and loads of funny debating exercises! Our team did such an amazing job and represented our school beautifully. Thanks to Mrs Derricott for organising this great event.

Swimming Carnival

Well done to everyone who participated in our annual swimming carnival today! It was great to see so many students having a go in numerous events and displaying great sportsmanship and camaraderie. Thanks to Mr Slade for organising a fantastic day. Students who have qualified for Zone will be informed in the coming weeks.

Reading Buddies

Our class has begun Reading Buddies each Wednesday with 1E.

Reading Buddies is a program where older students are paired with younger students for one-on-one reading time. The program aims to develop reading skills and enhance self confidence, academic performance and a love of reading.

Well done to our students for sharing their enthusiasm for reading with our younger students. It is a joy to watch!

Art Cave

Today the OC enjoyed their first session in the freshly revamped Art Cave! Thanks to our parent volunteers, Jane and Thuy, who organise this wonderful opportunity for our students. Today we began with ceramics – can’t wait to see how our creations turn out!

Outdoor Education visit

Well done to everyone who took part in our first excursion of the year to the Outdoor Education Centre at Morisset. We all had a fantastic day with beautiful weather all day long. It was terrific to see everyone have a go and display courage when participating in the challenging activities. Very proud of you all! Thanks to our wonderful instructors Connie and Joe!
